London Overview
Now, I may be a little biased given that I've lived here for the last 6 years but... London is a pretty great city.
Whether you're looking to visit museums, go shopping, see a show, or just simply gorge yourself on the endless list of food and drink options, there's something for everybody.
However, it is true that London can get a little pricey and so below, I've compiled my favourite affordable hotels (with a few treat stays chucked in there too if you're feeling flush) as well as the places I like to take my friends when they're visiting the city that I think are worth the money.
Overall, if you're on a budget - do not fret! London can definitely be done without breaking the bank.

London Things To Do
Huge street food market with plenty of indoor and outdoor space to devour everything from Italian to Vietnamese.
Coal Drops Yard is a shopping destination and foodie hotspot just a five-minute walk from King’s Cross St Pancras station.
Leave the city centre to find great food, fab pubs, a brilliant array of independent shops and a beautiful green park.
So central and yet so chilled out! It's one of my favourite areas to eat, drink and shop whilst taking in London at a slower pace than usual.
The history of the postal service in the United Kingdom, complete with interactive elements and a ride of the old Mail Rail underground network!
There are plenty of good vantage points in London but this totally free and less known spot has to be one of my favourites!
London Food & Drink
Cosy, romantic restaurant in Islington with simple, seasonally focused, Italian inspired menu that changes daily. On a budget? Stick to the pasta.
Stunning Victorian pub, divided up by carved mahogany and etched glass panels, just minutes away from the canals of Little Venice.
Cheap and cheerful cocktail bar with incredible happy hours that last several hours and brag £2.50 gin and tonics. Plus, there's 22 to choose from in London!
Amazing independent cafe with great coffee and most importantly, London's best bacon butty - in my humble opinion at least!
Beautiful art deco French restaurant with an affordable daily set menu underneath bustling Piccadilly Circus.
