Zedwell Piccadilly

Affordable
Overview

Stepping in from a bustling Piccadilly Circus, you wouldn’t be mocked for thinking you’d stepped into another world as you enter  Zedwell.

It’s a beautifully decorated, low-lit lobby with a row of tablets greeting you for self check-in. There’s people at reception to help too, but my first impression was that this is a modern hotel that does things a little bit differently.

The biggest difference being – it has no windows.

In the lobby, this doesn’t jump out at me and in fact, it wasn’t until I walked to the communal space on the floor above that I realised this was a consistent feature.

The rooms too – or ‘cocoons’ as they’re called – are windowless too.

Now, whilst many may bolt at this fact, I really like how Zedwell have really leaned into this and created cosy pod-like rooms that embrace the fact that you’re there to catch some z’s, and nothing else.

What’s more, I think it’s a really clever concept that makes it possible to stay super central without spending a fortune.

However, those with claustrophobia need not apply!
