Go a Free Walking Tour of Tirana

Free
Overview

Explore the captivating city of Tirana on a free walking tour, where licensed and local guides will lead you to the most significant sites. These tours are available in English or Spanish and provide an interactive and fun experience. You’ll not only learn about the city’s important landmarks but also immerse yourself in Albanian culture, picking up key Albanian vocabulary and gaining firsthand insights into the country’s communist past – with many of the guides having lived through this era.

The tours start at 10am and 6pm daily, lasting around 2 hours. If you’re visiting in the summer months it may be better to go in the evening at 6pm; walking around in 40-degree heat is not fun!

Tours can get quite busy with up to 40 participants per group, but don’t worry; you’ll be split into smaller, more manageable groups, each led by a super knowledgeable and charismatic guide. While these tours are advertised as free, it’s customary to give a small tip, with €10 as the minimum amount.

Tour stops include:

  • Clock Tower
  • Et’hem Bey Mosque
  • Saint Paul Catholic Cathedral
  • National Historic Museum
  • Piramida
  • The Block Bush Street
  • National Art Gallery
  • Mother Teresa Square
  • Resurrection of Christ Orthodox Cathedral
  • Bunk Art 2
