Overview

J. P. Morgan was an American financier and investment banker who assembled his collection of “illuminated, literary and history manuscripts, early printed books, and old master drawings and prints” in his own personal library.

In 1924, eleven years after his death, Morgan’s son made the library available to the public and it’s been a public institution ever since!

What’s more, you can avoid the $22 entry charge by visiting on a Friday between 5-7pm. You will need to reserve and tickets are available one week in advance – so get a reminder in your diary!
