Visit Tal Mixta Cave, Gozo

Overview

On the island of Gozo there are several caves that you can explore, including Ninu’s Cave and Xerri’s Grotto, but we went along to Tal Mixta Cave, the opening of which creates the most perfect frame for the Ramla Bay beach below.

Tal Mixta Cave is on the eastern edge of Nadur Village in Gozo. It’s known for being one of the last remaining troglodytic (cave-dwelling) habitats on Gozo, with its history dating back to at least 2,000 BCE. And back in the day, it was a lookout spot for the Knights of St. John. These days, it’s famous for incredible views and sunset pics.

The cave is free to visit, just be careful on the rocks and don’t get close to the edge!
