Berlin Christmas Markets Review
In this Berlin Christmas Market review, I’m breaking down some of the best spots for seasonal fun – from gingerbread and glühwein (mulled wine) to shopping and activities.
If you’re a real wine fan, you’ll love taking a trip to San Niklaw Winery in Żejtun which – from the outside – you would easily pass by. However, behind the wooden gate are six parcels (blocks) of estate vineyards that produce some of Malta’s best wines, which are stocked in top restaurants all over the world.
At the helm is John who invited us into their wine tasting parlour where we got to try four wines from the estate – one white and three red. Paired with each pour – which were generous – came homemade local food in the form of bread, tuna ftira (a delicious sandwich with smashed tomato and olive oil), truffle pasta and a huge cheese board to finish.
The price starts at €65 per person, but can go up to €75 or more for something more bespoke. In my eyes, it’s a definitely a treat, but the quality is high and your hosts at San Niklaw are great company. You can reach out to them via email at [email protected] for the full details and to make a booking.
This Malta wine tasting experience will definitely leave you with a smile on your face!
