Overview

Whilst trendy hostels with options for remote workers are on the rise in major European cities, the offering in New York is a little bit back lacking.

That’s why The Local NY really stands out – thanks to it’s huge bar and workspace which would be the perfect spot to work from and meet fellow travellers.

They have your standard dorms, but private rooms with their own bathrooms too. It’s definitely basic – but if you’re really on a budget, it could be a fantastic option for you.

As for the location, there’s a lot of development going on in Queens and you’re actually incredibly well connected for taking transport over to Manhattan, and down to Brooklyn too.
