Hotel New York Rotterdam

Overview

Hotel New York is one of Rotterdam’s most historic hotels. Built in the late 1800s was once the headquarters of the Holland America Line, the departure point for millions of people heading to America during the war.

As you enter the reception area, you can’t help but feel transported back in time as you look up at the wrought staircases leading to guest areas. The hotel proudly displays memorabilia from its early days, including posters and artwork showcasing the majestic cruise liner ships that sailed the passage to New York. Even if you’re not a guest it’s still interesting to come to Hotel New York to drink, eat and take pictures!

The uniquely styled rooms have grand high ceilings and a spacious layout. On-site, you’ll find a café-restaurant for a range of dining options, as well as a second restaurant and cocktail bar called NY Basement. The hotel also features a book and gift shop, a terrace with waterfront views, and a water taxi service for convenient transportation to Veerhaven and the city centre. You can enjoy stunning views of the Rotterdam skyline, harbour, and river from the hotel.
