AX ODYCY Hotel, Qawra

Affordable
Overview

Following a glow up in 2023, the AX Odycy in Qawra gives you that real wow factor when you walk in.

What’s really interesting is that as part of their refurbishment they added six floors to the hotel – and it’s on these top floors where you’ll find modern rooms with a stylish flair. We stayed in one of these rooms and it was really nice!

However, it appears that they haven’t done up the six floors below. Now, this isn’t a criticism because I actually quite like the set-up here since these ‘original’ rooms carry a cheaper room rate. Therefore, you can stay for cheaper in one of these rooms but enjoy the slick modern facilities of the rest of the hotel. Or, you can pay more to upgrade!

As for the rest of the hotel, there’s an underground passage that will take you out to a huge pool area complete with kids section which overlooks the sea. There’s an indoor pool too.

In another genius twist (in my opinion!) there are also two floors at the top of the hotel that are adults only. On top is a huge roof terrace which has two small infinity pools, hot tubs and a bar and restaurants. One floor below is a nightclub and bar with another gorgeous terrace.

Therefore, this is actually a great hotel for both families and adults only and could be a great shout if you’re looking for a hotel that satisfies a big group booking.

You can book the room-only rate here, but there are also options for half board – if you stay more than three nights – and all inclusive – if you stay more than five nights. As we just stayed one night, we were only able to try out the buffet breakfast which was massive and really good. We may have also sampled a cocktail on the roof  – we ordered one that was also included in the all-inclusive package, and it was good quality and made with branded spirits.
