Berlin Christmas Markets Review
In this Berlin Christmas Market review, I’m breaking down some of the best spots for seasonal fun – from gingerbread and glühwein (mulled wine) to shopping and activities.
Nothing is as inviting as a sign that boldly reads ‘Come in we’re c*nts’; and the sign outside Two Schmucks reads just that. But don’t let that fool you because they truly live up to their claim of being the best ‘five-star dive bar.’ In fact, they’re currently sitting pretty at No. 7 on the official World’s 50 Best Bars list-and for good reason too!
Inside, you’ll vibe to old-school hip-hop, R&B, and rap music while sipping on some of the finest cocktails in town. These drinks are expertly crafted and boast creative and unusual ingredients like garlic, pistachio butter, or fennel syrup. The bartenders here are top-notch and really know their stuff; making every visit a memorable one.
Given its fantastic reputation, Two Schmucks can get quite busy during peak times, and you might have to wait around 10 to 15 minutes for a seat. But trust us, it’s worth the wait. The atmosphere is laid-back and perfect for chilling and chatting. You’ll likely end up sitting next to fellow travelers from all corners of the globe, creating the ideal opportunity to mingle. It’s a true gem for cocktail enthusiasts and social butterflies alike.
