The Little Bastion Restaurant, Senglea

Treat
Overview

Tucked inside the luxury Cugó Gran Macina hotel, The Little Bastion offers a fine dining experience with authentic Mediterranean cuisine and a wide choice of local wines.

I often think that restaurants in luxury hotels can be a bit hit or miss but this one was a total score. I went for a tuna dish (€18 / £15.75) which came on a bed of aubergine and pickled vegetables. James went for pork with sweet potato and oh my, it was done to perfection. Yes, it was a treat, but we were not disappointed!

The service here was also excellent, though midweek you may not get the same vibes as busier restaurants across the water in Valletta.
